Recital Dress Rehearsal (Detailed schedule attached)
Hello Recital Participants! This includes VERY important Recital information so please read it thoroughly! As we near Recital Week, you will be receiving several important emails, this is the first of them regarding Dress Rehearsal on Thursday June 12th.
Below, is the Thursday June 12th Dress Rehearsal Schedule. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to their listed practice time with your dancer READY TO DANCE, costume, hair and makeup complete, with their dance shoes. This week you will be receiving an additional email specific from each dance instructor regarding any costume, hair and makeup details your instructor would like you to know. My apologies for the long dress rehearsal evening, but our beautiful APAC theater is a busy venue, and we need to fit our dress rehearsal into one night. We will have extra volunteers on hand to help organize dancers with their classes, and hopefully keep things moving along on the stage and keep us on schedule. Each class will get a turn to practice onstage and then they will EXIT the stage as a group to go pose for class pictures (in front of a Candyland background). PLEASE DO NOT VIDEOTAPE your child’s dance to share on social media as this is a violation of our music licensing contracts, nor do you have permission from other parents in your child’s class to post their child on social media. We will be video recording each performance for DVD/BluRay purchase, to be enjoyed at home (not for public/social media posting). As soon as your dancer’s class has practiced onstage and taken a group class photo, they are free to go for the evening, or get ready for their next dance piece if taking more than one class. Dress Rehearsal is Dress Rehearsal, not the actual performance, so we limit the number of family members accompanying your dancer to what is necessary; do not bring additional family members to watch. Don’t forget to purchase your recital tickets in advance to save your seats and save time not having to wait in a ticket line! Tickets are available at: https://legacyballet.ludus.com
Volunteer Signups are online, and we still need MANY volunteers! If your child is performing in only one show, and you are watching from the audience, PLEASE consider volunteering for another show they are not performing in! Our volunteers are VITAL in a successful show, and we enter our volunteers’ names into a drawing to win some fun prizes afterwards (like Legacy gift certificates to save on tuition!) so we hope that inspires you to sign up! There are various ways to help either backstage or in the lobby, and we will have our experienced volunteers help train the newbie volunteers if it is your first-time volunteering. Seating in the theater for Dress Rehearsal is organized by classes/rehearsal times (not actual full show order). Dancers and volunteers signed up to help that class in a show sit in the dancer areas, other family sits in unreserved seating. Remember, seating is limited, so do not bring extra people to watch the rehearsal, they should attend an actual performance. Make sure to follow signs to find your correct seating area!
